**As a history reminder...The Blitz (from German, "lightning") was the sustained strategic bombing of Britain by Nazi Germany between 7 September 1940 and 10 May 1941,during the Second World War. The city of London was bombed by the Luftwaffe for 76 consecutive nights and many towns and cities across the country followed. More than one million London houses were destroyed or damaged, and more than 40,000 civilians were killed, half of them in London.

Saturday 12th March - 9:30pm till late

March 2011

Only a few people know that the Netherlands and Great Britain were once joined by a huge strip of land the size of Wales called Doggerland. This rich habitat was covered by great swathes of forest. So, at some point in the not-so-distant past you could have walked from Nottingham to Rotterdam.

What better way to celebrate this fact than to bring the finest UK based party 'Hatclub' to Rotterdam's Kunst en Complex?

Hatclub consists music, dancing, cardboard props and flashy lights.

Come dressed as an animal, explorer, nymph, goblin, magic carrot, donkey, trail of sweets, or clad in wicked grandmother's secret seduction sequins.
*Warning* - The Fancy dress theme is compulsory, entry will be refused with out it.

Music style: all you need to know is that there will be some.

Dj's - Joe Kisser, Einfach, Booth.

Saturday 5th March - 9:30pm till late

March 2011

The Hatclub explorers go deep into Wonky Forest, looking for Caspa, Womac and Womac, The Gang of Four, Madonna and Snoop Dog.

Upon finding them, the explorers will set up camp (and a sound system) and huddle around a warm log fire.
Inspired by the animal theme that appeared magically at the last Hatclub (Merrimaking's wolfy hats, Sonic's battered fibre glass head and full costume Mogwai), this Hatclub theme is all things magical and wonky, and animalistic.

*Warning* - The Fancy dress theme is compulsory, entry will be refused with out it.

So, come dressed as an animal, explorer, nymph, goblin, magic carrot, donkey, trail of sweets, or clad in wicked grandmother's secret seduction sequins.

To reserve a place click the 'attending' button on the Wonky Forest Face Book event page.

Jan 2011

Saturday 15th January - 8pm til' Very Late

-- One example of a continuity error occurs in the 1998 film Waking Ned, when two of the film's characters, Jackie and Michael, are walking through a storm towards Ned's house. The umbrella they are under is black during their conversation as they walk towards the house (filmed from slightly above and to the front); yet after cutting to a lower shot (filmed from behind Jackie), Michael walks onscreen from the right holding an umbrella that is not black but beige, with a brown band at the rim. --

To maintain the traditionally chaotic nature of Hatclub the event is split over two dates, this being the second, (or the third if you count 'The Cancelled').

Either way HATCLUB means an upside down and back to front evening of dancing, trashy music, flamboyant dress sense and underwhelming art films.

*Fancy Dress Theme - Think about going half and half, clashing colours, awkward clothes and outfits*
(Mid evening outfit swaps, outfit substitutes and hairstyle changes highly encouraged, event will include the infamous Hatclub Dressing up box)

Music - All you need to know is there will be some, and there will be lots of dancing, so there.

Venue: One Thoresby Street, Sneinton, Nottingham, NG11AJ
Hatclub is the UK's no.1 unwashed night
